The Art Director’s Club Young Guns, an annual survery of the freshest “young” talent has really impressed me this year. Whether it be the humorous and fabulous work of Dress Code or puzzle-like illustrations of Siggi Eggertsson (remember the Gnarl’s Barkley cover to The Odd Couple? That was Eggertsson’s work), I find that I like more and more of these artists each time I see a new piece of work. This year, Apple and the ADC have lined up a showcase for a select series of winners worldwide. Hitting cities like NYC, London, Chicago and San Francisco, each will present their work for free at Apple stores. Next up of interest is Stewart Smith of Stewdio on Feb 22nd in NYC. This clever site, WindMaker, which he developed will apply the weather in any current location to any website. Cute.
