A. Miller, a prominent law professor at NYU, happens to own some pieces by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, a colorful Japanese woodblock artists (circa 1800’s) that will be on display at the Japanese Society in NYC starting March 12th (on loan from the British Museum). The subject mater of his prints are what is most appealing; something so despairing as skeletons, death, warriors, fighting and samurai can be so colorful. The collection of prints, repro’s for sale, are here.
